Welcome
Welcome to the Chusyd Lab at Indiana University-Bloomington. Led by Dr. Daniella Chusyd, our interdisciplinary research explores how genetic, developmental, and environmental factors—such as early life experiences, pollution, and habitat change—shape the health and aging of elephants. By studying these remarkable animals, we aim to uncover mechanisms of longevity and resilience that not only inform evidence-based policy and conservation for elephant populations but also provide new insights into human healthy aging.
